We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this Tim Williams Photography! Tim, the owner, was truly amazing and made the entire experience very comfortable for us. We were lucky enough to win a promotional offer for a free photo session and portraiture, and Tim went above and beyond to help us take photos with our baby. He was patient, kind, and made the whole session feel fun and relaxed, which really shows in the photos. The entire process was very professional, welcoming, positive, and genuine. If you’re looking for a photographer who truly cares, especially when working with children, I can’t recommend Tim and his studio highly enough!

The experience I had at Williamstudio was immaculate. I won a free pet portrait and, although initially concerned of it being a scam, I was utterly delighted with what transpired! My three fur babies were a little challenging to juggle but the team were excellent at managing them. We ended up purchasing more portraits than we intended because we absolutely fell in love with our photos. Each one captured our relationship with each pet as well as their character. From the first encounter at reception, to the session itself, to the viewing appointment; the team at Williamstudio were incredible. Absolutely loved our experience and would recommend to everyone!

We had a wonderful experience with Tim during our pet photography photoshoot. We are thrilled with our portraits and love how they turned out. Would highly recommend booking in a session, especially if you have fur babies.

Wonderful experience from the start. Jen, the photographer was fantastic and captured my husband and I and our little furbaby Betty in such a special way. She went above and beyond to capture us some truly special memories. Then our selection meeting with Tim was an absolute pleasure, he is very warm, friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole process fun and enjoyable for us. I can't recommend them highly enough to capture your special memories.

Williamstudios has one of the most predatory sales tactics I’ve ever had the displeasure of falling victim to. My partner won a $1,000 voucher with this studio for a pet+family photoshoot, which I was over the moon about. The initial booking of the shoot was enthusiastically facilitated by the studio staff, and the actual shoot with our photographer, Jen, was by far the highlight of our experience. Everything that came after this was a disaster. Following our shoot, a staff member arranged a zoom meeting in the coming weeks with studio director, Tim. We were told this meeting was for us to view and select our favourite photos, where one of the photos could be printed as an 18x12 inch framed portrait (worth the value of the $1,000 voucher). We were directed to display portrait frames in the studio and told to start thinking about what frame finishes we wanted for our prize. During the (dreadful) Zoom meeting with Tim, my partner and I narrowed it down to one main portrait we wanted to use our voucher on, and this is where Tim becomes increasingly pushy. Clearly unhappy with our choice as this meant $0 profit for the studio, Tim found every possible way to prolong our call, rotating through all the photos again and again and again, “offering” different sizes for the photos we expressed even a hint of interest in. The options shown to us cost between $5,000-$15,000. My partner and I felt so uncomfortable with Tim’s persistence that we had to ask permission to mute ourselves and privately discuss/reiterate with each other what photos we actually wanted twice during the call. At one point, we were very frank with Tim and told him that we were not in a financial position to pay >$1,000 for photos of us and our dogs. The solution Tim had for us? A “package” deal worth $2,200, which he said he’d be happy for us to pay in instalments if we were financially troubled. No matter how times we said we only wanted the portrait prize, Tim would present a counter argument. After 1.5h, we were so worn down by the conversation that we agreed to the portrait prize and three other standard sized prints (7x5 inches) which cost $400 EACH. We were promised access to digital versions of all 4 of the chosen photos via their app - a feature that we specifically negotiated as part of the deal. We paid the full amount of $1,200 on the spot. We were told we’d receive communication when the photos were ready to be shipped and how to access the digital photos. About 2 months later, the portraits arrived unannounced at our door. They were packaged professionally, but we noted that the prize portrait came frameless and was instead set in a cardboard “frame” (kind of like those annual school/class photos). We also got no information about access to digital copies of our photos. My partner reached out to the studio for clarification and this is where the gaslighting starts. We were told that the prize portrait didn’t come with a wooden frame, but instead with the cardboard setting which is what the studio called a “frame”. We were sent instructions to download our photos from their app/portal and what we got sent to were pixelated photos of the 3 portraits we paid for, but no inclusion of the one we won. We emailed again seeking higher resolution photos and for the main photo - the one we actually wanted in the first place. We were sent back a passive aggressive email essentially detailing that the photos that we saw were what we got, and that the high resolution photos + 4th photo would cost an additional fee (something like $1,000). They also “encouraged” us to purchase ASAP as they’d be deleting the photos within the month. We were gobsmacked and at this point, completely over it. We decided it was not worth pursuing further as we didn’t want to look at these photos for the rest of our lives and remember only the horrendous post-shoot experience. We never did get the frame for our portrait or useable digital copies of our portraits. If you’ve read this far, I implore you to please never engage with this studio. Don’t be a fool like me.
