Everything was great until we worked on the album. They showed us the draft, and we gave feedback on the design, but they told us off and said it was classic, etc. We didn't want to argue, so we just told them to finalise it. When we got the physical album, we saw a letter was missing from my partner's name. We told the studio, and they said can reprint it, but it would cost extra. Now, we can only warn others to learn from our mistake and double-check everything, like the name, which they should have gotten right in the draft.

My makeup and hair trial at Love Journal Makeup (LJMU) was, unfortunately, one of the most disappointing experiences I've had in the lead up to the wedding. The hair and makeup artist (HMUA) on the day was very friendly and assured me that she has over 20 years of experience in this field. The outcome was, however, quite disheartening, to say the least. The makeup felt very cakey (presumably the base wasn't set correctly), and the fake lashes used wouldn't have flattered any bride. My hairstyle also came undone in a few hours post-trial. (I admittedly changed tops after the trial, but the hair had already started to loosen by then.) While I understand that it was a trial, it should have provided a vision of how my hairstyle should look on the wedding day. I was subsequently unable to envision this as the bobby pins were very noticeable, and the hairstyle had already lost its shape before lunch with our bridal party. (I was asked by my bridesmaids whether I had gone skydiving or slept on the hair, which is a clear indication by others that the hair was not a success.) I emailed LJMU afterwards with feedback and requested a partial refund for the hairstyling service (in regards to the basic hairstyling techniques not even been met). Not unsurprisingly, they refused the partial refund and advised that they have never received such a request before. To say I felt ripped off would be quite the understatement.
