I have travelled with Ewen on photography tours to Bhutan and Nepal and I think the best compliment I can give them is that they do not feel like a photography tour at all, they are authentic travel experiences where you can immerse yourself in the places you are visiting rather that just experiencing it through a viewfinder, but yes, you will come away with great images. The way the tour are put together reflects Ewen's personality, friendly easy going, passionate about photography and respectful of the people, culture and locations we are the guests of. His years of experience in running these tours really shows and I look forward to being able to spend time traveling with Ewen again hopefully sometime soon!

I went to Nepal with Ewen Bell. He has intimate knowledge of the people and culture. Prior to my trip with Ewen I was primarily a Landscape Photographer. To shoot wide open with shallow deep of field was a new experience for me. Ewen was a great coach and provided positive feedback. Shortly after returning from Nepal I booked another trip with Ewen. I provide a review of that trip in another post. I struggled to pick just a few pictures. I attached eight to provide a glimpse of what type of pictures you can capture in Nepal.

I've been on two of Ewen's photography tours - in Bhutan and arctic Norway - and I can't rate them highly enough. Everything everyone else says in their reviews is true - they are standouts in terms of locations, accommodation, food and photographic opportunities. The most important element is Ewen himself. He is a kind and patient teacher and makes sure lots of different learning styles are accommodated. Ewen works hard to make sure that even complete novices like me come home with photographs they're happy with. There's no one I'd rather be with on a snowy island watching an aurora dance across the sky. He'll help you photograph the event properly, and his joy when his clients are happy is palpable. When travel is back on the agenda, do yourself a favour and consider one of Ewen's tours - I know I will be. And if you're stumped for Christmas and birthday gifts for the photographer in your life, I strongly recommend Ewen's book.
