The first time I met Eerik, he was shooting my girlfriend's wedding. He waltzed into the bridal suite with his trademark grin and hat, and everything suddenly became easy - frazzled bridesmaids were no problem, a surprise present moment was handled without a hiccup, even a mother of the bride meltdown didn't throw him off. That night, all the guests watched the groom spin his bride around a field in the setting sun - a 10 second moment in time that Eerik captured a masterpiece from (the photos are still used on his website!). The second time I met Eerik, it was for our engagement/let's test him out shoot - at a completely new venue for him. As we arrived, it was clear Eerik had already scouted the spot, understood the lighting, and he did so well getting us to relax and open up to him. Now we have the most gorgeous, dramatic photos hanging in our living room. Needless to say, I paid that deposit as quickly as I could! The third time we saw Eerik, it was the week before our wedding. We'd gone to check our venue quickly, and there he was - hours before the ceremony time, scouting out the venue to make sure his couple took advantage of everything on offer. Every single one of his couples gets this effort, and it's the little things like this that we feel make him phenomenal - he puts in the effort to get you the best that he can give you. The way he photographed that wedding (and we knew the weather challenges he was working with) gave me the confidence to make a few hard decisions and know I was going to get what I'd dreamed of, even if a few trees weren't quite in bloom the way I'd hoped. It didn't matter, because the way Eerik captured them was beautiful. The fourth time we saw Eerik, it was for our own wedding. He had (and had on every time we'd seen him) an amazing presence, calming and easy and relaxing. Every time we had a bit of buffer time on the day, he was there - encouraging us to step back and have a moment to ourselves; apart from being pronounced husband and wife, I think they were the best parts of the night, moments we could relax into (and that then got preserved on his camera, raw beautiful reminders we'll have for the rest of our lives). Eerik is charming, calm, easy to work with, relaxing, and always in the right place at the right time - the photos are perfect.
