Hi everyone, my name is Paul McMahon I write a lot of reviews for small businesses, restaurants and hotels. I recently discovered Artsound while tuning in some new radio stations. I am so gald I discovered Artsound. It has become my favourite radio station. I love the wide variety of music that is played and the extensive background knowledge about the songs and musicians discussed by the presenter. I recently had a tour through the complex because I have decided to become I volunteer to work there. The radio station is a non- profit businesses and is only kept afloat by donations from the public. Last month, I had the absolute pleasure of working with sound engineer Chris Deacon and journalist Peter Monaghan at ArtSound FM Canberra to record an audio version of my first book. I didn’t realise this then, but ArtSound FM is a community radio station powered entirely by volunteers. It was a pleasure because these two gentlemen volunteered their time to nurture and bring to life the first book I ever wrote. They were patient and showed such attention to detail—listening to me read aloud whilst reading the manuscript. I forget how many “encores” I had in the five and a half hours of reading! >>>>> One MASSIVE point of distinction between them and other recording studios is they record and read the manuscript simultaneously instead of cross-checking the audio with the manuscript later. Talk about saving time and money! ArtSound FM offer affordable studio recording facilities, including podcasting. I highlight recommend ArtSound FM and I'm very grateful to Chris and Peter. I'll be back for the second book!
