After extensive thought and research, I chose Alise Black Studios to shoot my modelling portfolio. I wanted to work with an experienced professional for my first shoot, and after exploring Alise's website and reading many positive reviews, I decided to submit an enquiry. From the outset, my experience with the studio provided everything I could have asked for. I spoke to Alise and her wonderful assistant, Treia, over the phone to understand the process and then for a more extensive styling call. Both Alise and Treia were generous with their time, sharing all the important details in a transparent and down-to-earth manner. Feeling confident in the collaborative brainstorming process, I settled on my outfit choices and booked my flights to Sydney. The studio itself is a beautiful, inviting space - an oasis of calm in the heart of Sydney. Alise and Treia made me feel calm and looked after from the moment I stepped inside. After some time in the glam chair, where Alise’s deft hand for hair and makeup got me photo-ready, it was time to get behind the camera. Alise and Treia guided me every step of the way. These two are a dream team! They clearly love their craft and have an amazing eye for detail. I felt a great atmosphere of trust and support thoughout the entire shoot. Normally I would have some nerves, but instead, I felt excited and energized by the creative energy in the room. I really didn't want it to end. After shooting three different looks with a few hair and makeup changes along the way, it was time to see the results. I fell in love with the photos immediately. Words can't capture how happy I am with the stunning images we created. I worked with Treia to select shots for the strongest, most varied portfolio possible. I can't wait to share my work with everyone! I left the studio with a full heart, feeling inspired and motivated to take my next steps. I can't thank Alise and Treia enough for the warmth, professionalism, and genuine care they showed me. These ladies are the best of the best, and I'm glad I made the trip to Sydney to work with them. I unreservedly recommend Alise Black Studios to anyone interested in photography or modelling. You won't regret it. My experience with the Alise Black Studios team was positive all the way, from the very first phone call through to receiving my gorgeous photos. Treia really took the time to listen and understand who I am and what I wanted to achieve, and guided me with the styling. Then Alise worked her magic with my makeup, hair, lighting, positioning and her excellent photographic skills to bring out the best in me and make my photos look amazing! You know it. Its me again 2 years later 🤣 its taken so long for me to find ME!!! Gone is the scared, lonely, unsure person. Grriilll I know my worth. Yesterday was a awesome day. It really was like spending a girls day with the BESTIES. The new place is so beautiful even the spider I saw out side, which I decided to call Henry. 🩷 The photos WOW just WOW. This was my daughter’s first professional photography shoot so we were unsure of what to expect.
